Kees Roest stood at the forefront of the KWR wastewater research. He works on innovative wastewater purification concepts and technology and the reuse of water, energy and components such as nutrients, cellulose and metals. Kees’s work is increasingly applicational. Examples include the recently completed struvite collection pilot at Schiphol (TKI Sustainable Airport Cities), small-scale loop closure (TKI Cleantech Playground North Amsterdam) and the current cellulose collection at WWTP Aarle Rixtel (Screencap EU project). Kees has contact with many organisations in the Netherlands and abroad from small to large companies to universities and government organisations. Kees Roest plays an important role in setting up new projects, but also in the successful execution and completion of these projects.
