Prof. Dr Annemarie van Wezel has long-term experience as scientific researcher in toxicology and chemistry, risk assessment and environmental policy evaluation. She managed various large complex interdisciplinary research programs. She is well-experienced in successfully managing and building research groups. She served as a program director on ‘Environmental risks of nanochemicals’ and leads the consortium ‘Shalegas and Water’. She published 57 peer-reviewed papers, h-index 26. She is a member of the Dutch Board on authorization of plant protection products and biocides CTGB, and of the Dutch Health Council. She is serving as a chair (by picket) for the Crisis Expert Team for environmental and drinking water incidents. Annemarie currently serves as chief science officer and professor on Water quality and health at KWR and Copernicus Institute of Utrecht University.
